In the Spring of 2026, Jesse painted the landscapes surrounding Olana, the home of Frederic Church, and the house of Thomas Cole. As leading figures of the Hudson River School nearly two centuries earlier, Cole and Church helped define an American vision of landscape that viewed nature as a source of wonder, reflection, and a place to be preserved.

Working en plein air, Jesse painted directly from observation, responding to the same terrain through a modern lens. Rather than being some sort of history lesson, these works explore landscape as a shared space across time an ongoing collaboration between artists.
 
Landscape remains a living subject that continues to invite inspiration, discovery, and new perspectives.
