In honor of my enslaved ancestors - the Cap 110 Memorial standing in Anse Caffard, Martinique, was erected to commemorate the victims of the transatlantic trade. Its 15 statues face Cape 110, toward the Gulf of Guinea, tracing the route of the slave ships and symbolically reconnecting the island with its African roots.
