About the Series

FRANCE - SUMMERTIME IN MARSEILLE

Text and photos by João Luiz Bulcão

After my series of photos on Copacabana beach and back in France it was in Marseille that I found part of my little Brazil, a tropical country of contrasts, of immigrants and emigrants, of dreams and reality, where the people are also joyful, passionate and spontaneous.

So many things that make us think as we walk through the temperate climate of this city, full of contradictions. As in Rio de Janeiro, their population meets and mixes on the sands of its beaches, forming a mosaic of different cultures.
